Record the fault and supplied accessories accurately.
Note the conditions in which the fault occurs. Error codes, the welding process and whether the problem is continuous or intermittent help the technician.
Provide the model and original serial number. Record all supplied accessories, including the torch, ground lead, electrode holder and gas hose. Photograph the outside of the device if possible.
Stop using the machine if it has an electrical fault. Do not open its cover: dangerous voltage may remain even after power is disconnected. Leave electrical repairs to authorised personnel.
